What is CouldThisWork?
A workspace for developing business, product, and side-project ideas. Each idea gets its own home for notes, research, money questions, and plans, with an AI Thinking Partner built in to help you work through them.
What CouldThisWork does, why it exists, and how it can help you find out whether an idea deserves more of your time.
A workspace for developing business, product, and side-project ideas. Each idea gets its own home for notes, research, money questions, and plans, with an AI Thinking Partner built in to help you work through them.
General chat tools are good at the conversation in front of you, but your idea ends up spread across old threads. Here, the idea is what gets saved. Everything you learn stays connected to it, and every conversation starts with what you’ve already worked out.
Notes apps hold what you’ve written, but they won’t question it. CouldThisWork keeps your notes organized and gives you a partner that can discuss them, look things up, and show you what’s still unproven.
No. The prompting behind assessments and reports is already built. You add what you know about your idea, and CouldThisWork handles the focused questions and structure.
Anyone with an idea they keep coming back to, from a first-time side project to something already up and running. You don’t need a business background.
CouldThisWork started as a fix for a slightly silly problem: years of “could this be a business?” thoughts scattered across notes apps and AI chats.
Most weren’t serious plans, just curiosities. The goal was one place to drop an idea whenever it pops up, talk it through, and quickly check whether it’s worth taking further.
Yes, CouldThisWork was one of the ideas it checked.
Start with my ideaOverview gives you the big picture. Research holds your questions, findings, and competitors. Making Money covers offers, prices, and evidence that people will pay. Plan lays out what to do this week, this month, and later. Library keeps your notes, business names, files, and reports.
It’s an AI you can talk an idea through with. It knows what’s in your workspace, can search the web for current information and show its sources, suggests business names, and can review files you share with it. You can keep separate conversations for separate topics.
No. The Thinking Partner can suggest updates to your workspace, but nothing is saved until you approve it.
Start a new idea, then add your thoughts as Idea notes or upload files such as PDF, Word, Markdown, or plain text documents to its Library. Each file can be up to 10 MB. From there, you can open any note in a focused Thinking Partner conversation.
A structured read of how plausible your idea looks, with the evidence behind the score labeled separately. It highlights strengths, risks, and what to test next. As your evidence changes, you can reassess and see the score move either way.
No. It’s a way to see what you know, what you’re assuming, and what to find out next.
Assessments use what’s in your workspace. Reports add live outside research, check your important claims against it, and give you a candid recommendation in a sourced PDF. They’re optional one-time purchases: the Decision Report is $15 and the broader Opportunity Deep Dive is $49.
Only if you ask. You can opt in to occasional idea reminder emails, change how often they arrive, or turn them off from Account settings.
